Eight is Great!

The view from the cheap seat was pretty dismal.

The games leading to the Elite 8 were hard on the little ones. That is, there were 7 of the younger generation going in and only 2 came out on the other side. Caroline’s Arizona lost in a heartbreaking buzzer beater, while Pierce’s Oregon got ducked by overall #1 Louisville and G&D’s Miami Hurricanes got blown out by Grandpa Ed’s Marquette.

Gwynn’s #1 seed Indiana let her down, as Kansas did her Arkansas compatriot, Dub.

Overall, we lost Caroline, Dottie, Dub, Ellie, G&D and Pierce.

Heading into the next round were The Lapidus Three of Us, Ed, Elaine, Karen, Libbie, Megan, Rebecca and Rivers.

The next round will pit second cousins against one another, an uncle/niece matchup, an aunt/nephew challenge and cousin-on-cousin warfare.

Christine, Dan & Rowan Florida (3-S)
Ed Marquette (3-E)
Elaine Duke (2-MW)
Karen Syracuse (4-E)
Libbie Ohio St. (2-W)
Megan Michigan (4-S)
Rebecca Louisville (1-MW)
Rivers Wichita St. (9-W)
